Grit

So this is what 42 looks like. I’ve had a heck of a year. Lots of wins and stuff to be proud of. This year I grow another year older and somewhat wiser. I’ve swallowed my pride, learned to learn and met new challenges. My buddy Manuel Amezcua talks about grit all the time. Its this thing you’re born with. An inner drive that can’t be taught but is inherent. Maybe it’s from growing up in the Region or just starting from simple means, but this “grit” has got me through college, progressed into my career and now I harness it as a business owner. Its’s the X-factor that separates us from others. I say us because if you have it then you know what it does for you. It keeps you up an hour later or gives you that push to do it one more time, fail and do it once more. I did this piece tonight to celebrate the inner drive that can’t be measured and as a reminder when times are tough I have grit to lean on.
