A new collection

Without realizing it I’ve started to collect room keys. From my travels last year and the beginning of this year I’ve come to appreciate the little things of a new room. Opening the door reveal a space where I’ll lay my head. I’ve designed my fair share of in room collateral so that’s the first thing I notice. The pen, the pad of paper, the little soaps and cards. I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into making those decisions, the rounds of revisions and the thought that goes into sourcing the lotion. The details matter, it’s the little things that get remembered. The shower head that has great pressure or the wardrobe that’s lined with floral wallpaper. I love seeing my name on the television and how the blankets are tucked into the bed to tight that you feel like you’re being smashed. What’s your favorite part of a room?
